Education Programme
Education is powerful and empowering, although not everyone has access to what should be a basic human right. Hundreds of thousands of children who are living in poverty simply do not have a basic education, denying them the ability to read and write – which then denies them the prospect of a brighter future.
Through the help of our donor partners in the UK, Islamic Dawah Training Centre works towards ensuring that every child within our communities, no matter their living conditions, is given access to education. Our goal is to help those in need by giving them the tools to pursue a better standard of life.
Islamic Dawah Training Centre (IDTC) also, provide conducive learning environment by building schools, providing school furniture, learning materials and teachers training through the support of our donor partners in the UK.

Orphan Programme
Through the support of our donor UK Islamic Mission, 26 children were admitted at our orphanage home, constructed by UK Islamic Mission and were all given accommodation at the orphanage. A great care is given to the children, including nutritional food and extra study facilities after school. The orphanage has three full time staff- two cooks and a matron who mentor the children on their daily lives. Meal was provided three times per day.

Hifz Quran Programme
We provide Islamic educational opportunity for over 700 children that would enable children memorize the Qur’an within a specific period and are able to apply knowledge gained in daily life in accordance with Islamic principles. We also Provide food, clothes, shoes, and gifts for these children in the Hafiz Quran Programme. Children were allocated to ten (10) different Madrasa in Mile 91 (6) and four (4) in the capital city Freetown. These Madrasas are very close to the children’ homes and easily accessible.
Twenty-five staff, including 18 Qur’an teachers and 7 Administrative officers are assigned to manage the ten Madrassahs. Copies of Qur’an were given to each child as teaching and learning materials. Some Madrassa also use chalk boards in addition to the copies of Qur’an. Most of the Madrasa are located very closed to a Masjid. Some of these Madrasa are internally supervised by members of the masjid, who in turn report to IDTC Hifz Programm staff.
