Qurbani

Eating meat in some part of Sierra Leone is uncommon.  About 65% of people in rural communities cannot afford to buy meat. The only hope of eating meat is during Qurbani time for those who are lucky to be registered. This year Islamic Dawah Training Centre Slaughter 9 cows and distributed them to vulnerable people including families of old people- men and women, orphan children, people with disability, destitute children, and very low-income earners on behalf of our donor UK Islamic Mission in London. The Qurbani fresh meat was packaged in plastic bags of 5 kg to each family and   distributed to 360 registered families of over 2,160 beneficiaries on the day of Eid ul Adha.
